OPERASI PULIH


Directive to stay at home from 8.00 pm to 4.00 am daily is extended until Thursday, 18 November 2021.

Exemptions are only granted for emergencies, urgent matters and critical workers only. Violation of regulations will be issued a compound fee of $500 for each offense.

​TRANSITION PHASE


Starting 19 November 2021 until 14 December 2021, the s
tay-at-home period will be 10.00 pm to 4.00 am daily.

PLACES OF WORSHIP


During Transition Phase (starting 19 November 2021), reopening of mosques, surau, musalla (balai ibadat) and other places of worship.

 Only for individuals aged 18 and above who are fully vaccinated
 Limited capacity

Maintain social distancing Physical distancing of at least 1.5 metres
 Perform ablution (wudhu) before going to mosque
 Bring own large-sized prayer mat

WORKPLACE

 Only for individuals that have completed their vaccinations
 Limited to 50% venue capacity

Education EDUCATION

During Transition Phase (starting 19 November), reopening of Higher Education Institutions, Technical and Vocational Schools and Driving Schools.

 Only for individuals that have completed their vaccinations

Mandatory Vaccination

  • extended to the teaching workforce, non-teaching school staff, staff and guardians at schools and children's daycare centres, trainers and so on. 
  •  those with health conditions such as allergies will be exempted from this requirement, that is, based on the health certification provided.

Procedures for the reopening of schools, and that children's daycare centres and other learning institutions will be announced at a later date, as soon as the COVID-19 Steering Committee has completed its review of the plans.

​PUBLIC PLACES


During Transition Phase (starting 19 November 2021), reopening and mass gathering at public places are permitted.

Public places consists of:

a.      sport facilities
b.      commercial premises such as:


Restaurants
Cafes
Indoor playgrounds
Foodcourts
Cinemas
Market and 'tamus'
Arcades
Beauty premises (such as salons and barber shops)

Every business premise that is allowed to open during the Transition Phase is required to abide by all guidelines and SOPs.

PRIVATE SOCIAL GATHERINGS


During Transition Phase (starting 19 November), gatherings at private homes are permitted. This is to include but is not limited to ceremonies for nikah, tahlil, weddings, funerals, birthday parties, and so on.

 Only vaccinated individuals are allowed to attend
 Indoor gatherings imited to 10 to 30 persons only

Travel TRAVEL

Guidelines for Declaration of Arrival for Citizens and Permanent Residents

The Arrival Declaration is an acknowledgement of inbound travels for Citizens and Permanent Residents of Brunei Darussalam either by air, land or sea.
Citizens and Permanent Residents are advised to declare their imminent arrival into Brunei Darussalam for ease of logistics management.

For Citizens and Permanent Residents returning from official (Government Sponsored) and essential travels, their sending or endorsing agency must submit the declaration form on the travellers’ behalf. (See Annex for list of official / essential travels).

Declaration may be submitted by the traveller or sending / endorsing agency on the online portal at www.pmo.gov.bn/travelportal.

Travellers may upload the following supporting documents with the declaration:
- Traveller’s passport
- Tentative flight itinerary / Vehicle registration number (for land travel)
- Pre-departure COVID-19 test result (if available)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (if traveller has received vaccination)
- Hotel reservation in Brunei Darussalam

Guidelines for Entry Level Pass Applications to Brunei Darussalam

The Entry Travel Pass is a document issued for inbound travelers of foreign nationalities arriving in Brunei Darussalam.

The Entry Travel Pass may be issued for the following individuals:
- Essential business travel (including official travel)
- Students
- Individual primarily here for the purpose of medical treatment
- Compassionate and other special circumstances, such as parents, spouse, or other immediate family members of Brunei Citizens or Residents. Applications will be reviewed for considerations on a case-to-case basis by authorities.

The Entry Travel Pass is not a the sponsoring agency (or sponsoring family member) is required to apply for entry visa on behalf of the travelers, should they require one.

The length of stay permitted for Entry Travel Pass holders will be determined according to the visa being issued.

Vaccinated Traveller Policy Eligibility 

Vaccinated travellers may be eligible for shortened quarantine on entry between 1 – 7 days to Brunei Darussalam provided that they meet ALL of the criteria (see full guidelines).

Guidelines for all travellers entering Brunei


- A negative result slip of a SARs-CoV-2RT PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival to Brunei​

- Entry Travel Pass (apply via portal)

- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (if traveler has received such vaccination)​

- Valid visa (for visa-required passport holders)

TransportationTRANSPORTATION

Public buses  are currently limited to 50% passenger capacity including driver and conductor. As for taxi and Dart services, only one driver and one passenger are allowed per trip.

TransportationWEDDINGS

Starting 27 September 2021, the solemnisation ceremony in a private home is not allowed.

Permission for the solemnization of marriage is only permitted at the Office of the Registry of Muslim Marriages, Divorces, Annulments and Ruju’ in each district where the marriage approval is issued.

TransportationANTIGEN RAPID TEST (ART)

Commencing during the transition phase, the government will implement the widespread use of Antigen Rapid Test (ART) as part of testing regime for individuals who are otherwise without symptoms.
