Brunei Darussalam is situated on the north-west coast of Borneo Island and is strategically located to provide the ideal platform into the ASEAN market.  The country enjoys convenient access to the Southeast Asian markets, with neighbours such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia located just a couple of hours flight away.

The country's stable environment, both politically & macro economically, with no history of significant natural disasters and low crime rates, makes Brunei Darussalam an ideal place for businesses to operate.

Its deepwater port, Muara Port, has 13 shipping lines and is connected to 15 ports in the region.

Brunei Darussalam is also a signee to several trade agreements with its ASEAN neighbours and East Asian trading partners. In addition, the country has comprehensive trade ties with countries in the Middle East such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
