Recently among our FKK facebook group members posted a statement about the requirement for us naturists to get more aggressive in encouraging our lifestyle. Among the main purposes was that we can never completely understand the usual life of nudie fun while we are constantly looked down upon by greater society, and in some cases outright persecution by the law.
The question discussed in the place, which can be discussed broadly in the greater naturist community is, what can we really do to make society more accepting of our naturist lifestyle? In attempting to answer this question I found that one of the primary difficulties is that such dialog can fast become highly theoretical, esoteric and far too idealistic.
When one intensely ponders all of society's hang ups with nudity, it seems almost despairing that we can make any essential change. But do you know what?? I don't believe that! It really is not hopeless.
I do not want us naturists and nudies to over-think this thing to the point of analysis paralysis!' So, even though dialog is sometimes helpful, real change doesn't come by speak alone. It comes by taking action.
When we actually engage the public with nudity in wholesome actions, people's awareness change what's more, it is only when their perceptions alter that we will be able to ultimately see changes in laws. So without any additional intellectualization of this issue I would like to address some actual practical things you'll be able to DO to shift people's perceptions. Here goes:
1) Come from the closet Begin By telling the folks you trust most that you're a nudie. You cannot ever be an effective agent of change provided that you continue to hide your nudity.
Our personal experience of coming out' to our close circle continues to be very favorable. It took some time to summon the nerve to come out, but once we did, nearly everyone we have shared our nudie narratives with has responded positively. This has included family, friends, and trustworthy work co-workers.
Needless to say we understand there are some sensitive situations out there, and you must use common sense. By the end of the day, if someone really likes you, they'd not care and might even be intrigued.

2) Host a bare dinner for someone you're close to and trust. Someone who hasn't experienced societal nudity before. We have invited many textiles to dinner where we are naked. Sometimes the guests join us and get nude and occasionally they do not.

But in all events they have adjusted to our and / or their own nudity quite nicely. By doing something as normal as sharing an evening of food together, people begin to see that getting naked is a simple matter of freedom and relaxation in your own house and skin.
They realize (perhaps for the first time) that it is not an orgy or swinger party, but rather merely a normal social encounter with the liberty to be sans clothing.

3) Go skinny dipping frequently at places where there is a history of nudity being born. Just about everyone knows of a place out in nature somewhere, where folks skinny dip. Find that place and take action. If you should be there first you can set the tone by being naked if folks arrive after you they will either leave, join you, or dismiss you.
Nudity in remote natural locations is generally not viewed as offensive and most folks accept it. It's the effect of normalizing nudity in a setting that makes sense to most folks after all, it is not much of a stretch for people to accept someone swimming in the buff.
We've done this many times and have not yet been told that anyone would be violated by our nudity.

We advocate a group, because it truly is more safe and more likely to make an impact of being ordinary and traditional than if it is done as a solitary action that might be more easily labeled as exhibitionism.

It's likely better to organize this action at a park, playa or natural area, as nudity probably will be more satisfactory in this type of recreational setting as opposed to Main Street. If you chance to strike a poor response, don't react in a negative way.
Be respectful of the fact that folks are not used to encountering topfree or nude people in public and may need a little time to adapt. If they're open to talking it's advisable to question them about their reaction.

5) Invite a cloth buddy to one of FKK's many nudie events, or to opt for you to your favourite nudist resort. Do not be discouraged by a NO' response.
Keep encouraging different people until you find someone who says yes - they're in fact out there!
