Application of Permit to Export Timber Products


This service is provided by Forestry Department under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism for applicant who wish to obtain permission to export timber products.

This service is available both Offline and Online

Start

General Prerequisite/ Criteria

  • This application is reserved to an authorised company or individuals with products from the exported timber only
Online Prerequisite/ Criteria

  • For registration through the Online System Brunei Darussalam National Single Window (BDNSW), applicant is recommended to visit the Royal Customs and Excise Department. Address is as follows :

How to use the Service

Offline Procedure

  • Application for the export permit of timber to be submitted at the counter during government working hours as follows :
    • Monday - Thursday
      • 8 Am until 11.45 Am (Morning)
      • 1.45Pm until 3 Pm (Afternoon)
    • Saturday
      • 8 Am until 10 Am (Morning Only)
  • Export Permit is only permissible for one (1) consignment
  • Export Permit is valid for one (1) month from the date of issuance
  • Applicants are required to submit copies of the following documents according to product categories :
    • List 'A' Products [All Timber Products]
      • Copy of Letter of Approval as Registered Exporter with Forestry Department.
      • Copy of Certificate of Legality/Letter from Forestry Department (If required by Importing Country).
      • Copy of Phytosanitary Certificate/Invoice of Fumigation (If required by Importing Country).
      • Copy of Letter of Approved products for export from Forestry Department (DIU).
      • Copy of Invoice (Description of Products Volume/AMount/Price Values).
      • Photo or pictures of the products to be exported.
    • List 'B' Products [Timber Products in the CITES Listed Species]
      • Copy of Letter of Approval as Registered Exporter with Forestry Department.
      • Copy of CITES Permit from Brunei CITES Authority.
      • Copy of Physical Inspection Verification Report from DOwnstream Industry Unit (DIU).
      • Photo or pictures of the products to be exported.
Online Procedure

  • Application is made online through BDNSW System. Click here for further information on how to apply online through BDNSW.
  • Export Permit is only permissible for one (1) consignment
  • Export Permit is valid for one (1) month from the date of issuance
  • Applicants are required to upload copies of the following documents according to the product categories :
    • List 'A' Products [All Timber Products]
      • Copy of Letter of Approval as Registered Exporter with Forestry Department.
      • Copy of Certificate of Legality/Letter from Forestry Department (If required by Importing Country).
      • Copy of Phytosanitary Certificate/Invoice of Fumigation (If required by Importing Country).
      • Copy of Letter of Approved products for export from Forestry Department (DIU).
      • Copy of Invoice (Description of Products Volume/AMount/Price Values).
      • Photo or pictures of the products to be exported.
    • List 'B' Products [Timber Products in the CITES Listed Species]
      • Copy of Letter of Approval as Registered Exporter with Forestry Department.
      • Copy of CITES Permit from Brunei CITES Authority.

      • Copy of Invoice (Description of Products Volume/AMount/Price Values).
      • Photo or pictures of the products to be exported.
  • Applications will be reviewed (by Verifier) prior to approval by the approving authority (Approver).
  • Incomplete application will be cancelled.
  • Complete applications will be submitted to the Approver for approval.
  • If the issued Export Permit is not yet used and required for extension, applicants must submit their request one (1) week before the export permit expires.
