Apply for Halal Certification

​This service is provided by Ministry of Religious Affairs under The Halal Department for business owner to apply a Halal Certification  that provides food such as restaurant, stall or canteen. Included in this category is any person who does the business of making and selling food from home directly to the customer, NOT being distributed to wholesalers or retailers.

The Application form requires the following documentation:

Every Individual or Business owner shall comply and provide the following required Documentation to Complete the Application Form. Document requires are:

a. Copy of Identity Card / Passport of Owners & Halal Food Supervisor  
b. Owner’s & Halal Food Supervisor’s passport size photo (2 pieces each)  
c. Halal Food Supervisors Health Certificate / Hospital acknowledgement letter) 
d. Copy of Company Miscellaneous License/Company Business License (if any and valid)  
e. Copy of Business Registration Certificate (16/17) or Form X  
f. Premises Floor Plan (Sketch)  
g. Plan of the place of business (Sketch)  
h. List of products manufactured with their ingredients  
i. Foods / Drinks product process flowchart and procedures 
j. Copy of Halal Certification File / Halal Manual table of contents 

Additional Documents

Ingredients and packaging’s Halal Certification or Halal Declaration letter required.

Packaging material’s classification or declaration letters  

Other documents (if any): Hazard And Critical Control Point (HACCP) / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) / International Standard Organization (ISO) / Total Quality Management (TQM) / Veterinary Health Mark (VHM) / Veterinary  Inspection Logo (LPV) etc.
