The Royal Customs and Excise Department provides the process and procedures for Trade Facilitation Services and Revenue Enforcement on imports and export.
Importers must register with the port of entry. Import permits are required for some products, and in some cases, import licenses must be accompnanied by sanitary or phytosanitary cerficates from the exporting country. Brunei maintains import restrictions, mainly for health, sanitary and phytosanitary, and moral reasons.
